STEP-BY-STEP OIL CHANGE MANUAL
(Applicable for Passenger Vehicles & Light Trucks)

 


 

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Required Before Starting:
✔ Engine cooled (minimum 30 mins after shutdown)
✔ PPE: Gloves + Safety Glasses
✔ Wheel chocks & parking brake engaged
✔ Oil drain pan (minimum 6L capacity)

 


 

TOOLS & MATERIALS

14mm-17mm socket for drain plug

Filter Wrench

Cup-type (65-75mm) or strap wrench

Funnel

Long-neck with 15mm opening

Torque Wrench

20-30 Nm range for drain plug

 


 

PROCEDURE

STEP 1: PREPARE VEHICLE

1. Lift vehicle using:

Floor jack + jack stands (recommended)

Ramps (ensure 20° max incline)

2. Locate:

Oil drain plug (underside of oil pan)

Oil filter (typically near engine block)

 

STEP 2: DRAIN OLD OIL

1. Place drain pan beneath plug

2. Loosen plug with socket wrench (turn counterclockwise)

3. Allow complete drainage (5-10 mins)

4. Clean drain plug & reinstall with new washer

Torque: 25 Nm ±10% (refer to vehicle manual)

 

STEP 3: REPLACE OIL FILTER

1. Position drain pan beneath filter

2. Remove old filter using wrench (turn counterclockwise)

3. Lubricate new filter’s gasket with fresh FEIBI oil

4. Hand-tighten new filter + ¾ turn with wrench

 

STEP 4: REFILL WITH FEIBI OIL

1. Insert funnel into fill port

2. Pour 90% of recommended volume (check dipstick)

Example: If capacity = 4.5L, add 4.0L initially

3. Start engine - run for 30 secs (build oil pressure)

4. Stop engine - wait 2 mins - check dipstick

5. Add remaining oil gradually until level reaches MAX mark

 

 


 

POST-SERVICE CHECKS

✅ Leak Inspection:

Visually verify drain plug & filter area (wait 15 mins)

 

✅ Oil Reset (if applicable):

Follow vehicle’s maintenance light reset procedure

 

✅ Disposal:

Transfer used oil to sealed container → recycle center

 

 


 

TROUBLESHOOTING

Issue

Solution

Drain plug won’t budge

Apply penetrating oil + use breaker bar

Oil filter stuck

Puncture filter with screwdriver for leverage

Overfilled oil

Extract excess via dipstick tube (use syringe pump)

 


 

RECOMMENDED SERVICE INTERVALS

Normal Conditions: Every 10,000 km or 12 months

Severe Conditions: Every 7,500 km or 6 months
(Towing, frequent short trips, extreme climates)
